FitMyStyles

Seller How-To Guide

Step-by-step help for upgrading, market setup, product listing, shipping, payouts, and referrals.

Quick notes (before you start selling)
  • Your seller account becomes fully active after you configure at least one target market with shipping details.
  • If you skip market setup, the system will warn you your seller account is not complete.

1) Upgrade from buyer to seller (Paystack & Stripe areas)

  1. Open Upgrade Account from your settings to start seller onboarding.
  2. Enter required seller details: brand location, business name, and address.
  3. Stripe-supported countries
  4. The form warns you’ll be redirected to Stripe to finish onboarding (and may include a link to create a Stripe account).
  5. Important: After connecting Stripe, wait to be redirected back to fitmystyles.com. Closing early can leave setup incomplete.
  6. Paystack-supported countries
  7. Bank verification uses Paystack for Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa.
  8. Paystack users complete verification within FitMyStyles (no Stripe redirect required).
  9. Stripe bank verification
  10. For some countries, bank verification is handled through Stripe onboarding/account setup.

2) Set up your markets

  1. Go to the Markets page (“Select and add your targeted market areas”).
  2. Choose a Target Market Location and enter your shipping cost and delivery time.
  3. Add required shipping company details: name, website, contact email/phone, address, state, city, and zip code.
  4. If you skip market setup, the system warns that your seller account isn’t fully active.

3) Add products (category + variation pricing)

  1. Choose a category: Tailor Made Product, Accessories, or Materials.
  2. Set a clear base price first (the default price unless an override applies).
  3. Accessories: Add variations (size/color/material). Variations manage inventory and enable precise pricing.
  4. Price overrides (optional): Set specific prices for options or option combinations. Overrides replace the base price.
  5. Tailor Made Men/Women: Enable optional variations to capture style/size differences that affect cost.
  6. Kids products: Set Kids Age Pricing overrides for age groups that need extra fabric/work (leave blank to use base price).
  7. Manufacturing/Processing time: Set “Time to Manufacture/Processing Days” clearly—buyers rely on it.
  8. Inventory: Set Quantity in stock to avoid overselling. For accessories, variation quantities feed inventory totals.
  9. Description: Keep it short and buyer-friendly. The platform enforces a 200-character limit; extra text won’t be saved.
Product description tips (character limit)
  • The description field is capped at 200 characters; over-length text gets cut off.
  • Use short, structured sentences: what it is, who it’s for, material/finish, and key buyer decision details.
Pricing tips (avoid leaving money on the table)
  • Use base price for the most common option to stay competitive.
  • Use overrides for higher-cost options (premium material, complex styles).
  • For kids tailoring, apply age-group overrides when larger sizes require more fabric/time.
Inventory management tips
  • Keep stock aligned with what you can fulfill within your processing time.
  • Update variation quantities regularly so popular options don’t oversell.
  • Out-of-stock handling: when inventory runs out, the platform may auto-deactivate the product and email you.
  • Buyers will see an out-of-stock message when inventory is depleted.

4) Handle orders (deadlines to watch)

  1. Processing time sets expectations: buyers rely on your “Time to Manufacture/Processing Days.”
  2. Delivery time is market-specific: each market’s delivery days affect expected delivery date.
  3. DHL (when enabled): Clicking Ship creates the DHL shipment and saves tracking number + label link for the buyer.
  4. Manual shipping: When DHL isn’t used, you enter the shipping company and tracking number so the buyer can track.

5) Seller payout process (how you get paid)

  1. Payouts are seller-initiated (not automatic). You must request/withdraw funds.
  2. After delivery is confirmed, payout becomes available 48 hours later.
  3. If the buyer confirms receipt while leaving feedback, delivery is recorded immediately and the payout timer starts.
  4. Check the payout availability timestamp to see when funds become withdrawable.

6) Referral program for sellers

  1. Share your referral link from your account.
  2. When a new customer registers with your link or enters your code at checkout, you earn referral credit and the buyer gets a first-order discount.
  3. Track referral rewards in the referral settings area.
